10 years ago today in a Rockwood Stage 2 to-do, I released Strings, a record featuring the talents of these three gentlemen (from left: Matt Gelfer/violin, Paul Wolfram/cello, Gregory Williams/viola). From an open mic was borne a musical friendship; Matt’s arranging mind elevated my songs to new heights while his fantastic wit kept us all grinning. Rehearsals and a string of gigs over years culminated in this soaringly stringed EP that strikes me both with tender artistic satisfaction, and with happy gratitude for those talented people who’ve came alongside me in different seasons and made me a better musician by their examples and collaborative spirits.
